A hidden gem in the city. What a beautiful building, full of history and elegance. The food that was provided for our event was excellent. The staff were “on it”. And, the location was surprisingly easy to find and park near.

We were so surprised because know one was there but lucky for us we got to sit in front of of the fire place and enjoy our wonderful dinner with the delightful and talented MISS HANNA. Miss Hanna is always greets you with a warm smile and twinkling eyes that melt your heart. You feel it’s like you are at your grandmother’s house. The orders were half crab cakes and half shad roe. Both dishes were perfection. The Caesar salads are always a great starter and the vegetables tonight were whipped potatoes and asparagus. What always impresses me are the homemade dinner roles. If they had honey butter I would have been over the moon in delight. This was a special evening in the way of, I had not been in Richmond for two years, I had just been in Middle East, returned to NYC via Miami and of course the blizzard stopped me from returning to Terra firma. But I rented a car drove to Savannah for lunch and 18 hours later I was able to visit the best of best friends in RVA. WHAT a wonderful night. Thanks Hanna for your attention and friendship.

The atmosphere was exquisite. It has a tradition about it and is quite elegant. I was there for a homecoming get together and it has been about 30 years since my last visit. The food was heavy hors devours which included a great shrimp centerpiece along with fancy ham biscuits, a beef and chicken dish. They also had waiters serving oysters and filet mignon sides. The staff was very good and helpful. It shows quality at every station from arriving. It has valet parking but I parked my own in their very ample free parking lot.

A big Thank You to the Commonwealth Club for inviting us to participate in the The Taste of the Commonwealth Event. This Event showcases some of the best vendors in the area with a combination of elegant décor, food, and entertainment. It was an absolute pleasure to be apart of this event and we look forward to coming back next year!
